Make Money on Half.com

We all have them....a million CDs that we haven't touched since uploading our songs to our computer and mp3 player. I say get rid of the collection and make money during the recession. Its very easy to start a half.com account, especially if you already have an eBay and PayPal account, since half.com is part of eBay.
Once you have your account setup, start selling your stuff. You can sell CDs, DVDs, video games, and books. All you do is enter the UPC and half.com searches its database for the item. Once it finds it, you enter the description and price you want to sell it. The great thing about half.com is it shows you the current price ranges and the average selling price based on condition, so you can establish reasonable prices.
Shipping is extremely easy as well. The shipping costs are automatically estimated. Once you link your PayPal account, all you have to do is click on 'Print Shipping Label'. That link takes you to PayPal and all you have to do is enter the shipping weights; the shipping address is pre-filled. You then print out the shipping label, package your item, and put it in your mailbox for the postal carrier to take. (half.com uses USPS only).
I was using media mail size package envelopes from Walmart but they cost about $0.41 a piece (those were the cheapest I could find). I figured that was cutting into my profits so I started using recycled cardboard boxes to ship items out. I cut the boxes in the shape of the item I am shipping and tape it up. They still look professional and protect the cases of CDs/DVDs and don't cost me a penny.
I usually sell a few a week and have about 200 items currently listed. I always price my items around the average sell price range and leave a detailed description of the item I am selling. Since November 2008, I have made over $300 from sales on half.com, and my house is a little less cluttered!
